Ko Kradan

Ko Kradan is an island in Trang Province, southern Thailand, described by the Tourism Authority of Thailand as one of the most beautiful islands in the province, famed for its white sand beaches and transparent water through which the coral reef is clearly visible. In 2023 it was ranked as the best beach in the world by TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards.

Most of Ko Kradan's land area falls within Hat Chao Mai National Park, which strictly limits construction and tourist infrastructure on the island, preserving its natural character. The island sits roughly 13 kilometres offshore, making it the westernmost permanently inhabited island in Trang Province. Ko Kradan takes its name from its oblong shape, as 'kradan' refers to its elongated form in local usage. The island's shallow surrounding waters offer excellent snorkelling directly off the beach, with colourful coral formations close to shore. Ko Kradan is accessible by speedboat from Pak Meng Pier and by longtail boat from Ko Muk during the dry season from November to April.
