Nonthaburi Province
Nonthaburi is one of the smallest yet most densely populated provinces in Thailand, covering just 637 square kilometres immediately north and west of Bangkok along the Chao Phraya River. It forms an integral part of the Bangkok Metropolitan Region and is Thailand's second most densely populated province after the capital itself.

The province had an estimated population of 1,322,280 in 2025, yielding a density of 2,069 persons per square kilometre, making it second only to Bangkok in population density. Nonthaburi has no significant forest area, its land given over almost entirely to urban development, canals, and market gardens. The province is historically renowned for producing some of Thailand's finest durians, with premium varieties fetching extraordinary prices at market. Its gross provincial product reached 400 billion baht in 2023, driven by trade, manufacturing, and healthcare services. Nonthaburi borders Bangkok to the south and east, Pathum Thani and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya to the north, and Nakhon Pathom to the west.
